Theodore Burbion was the Prince of Variétienne during the 12th century, next in line to the throne. He was raised isolated, so he grew up thinking his parents were loved by all the townspeople. But that was far from the truth.

One day, a few weeks after Theodore had turned 18, he had snuck out of the castle and into the woods before getting lost. He found a small house, not too far from the village. He knocked on the door, expecting to see a warm and welcoming reception inside.
