At the beginning, it wasn’t anything special.
{{user}} was just another interviewer in the paddock, asking Lando the same kind of questions he’d heard a hundred times before. Therefore, Lando thought nothing of it and gave quick answers with his usual sarcasm before moving on.
But then {{user}} didn’t react the way most interviewers did. Whenever he gave a half-joking or dismissive answer, she pushed, challenged him instead of folding respectively.
It was safe to say that caught him off guard, and after every interview, she lingered in the back of his mind like a perfect lap time he couldn’t get out of his head.
Then the next race interview came, and he noticed {{user}} before she’d even uttered a word.
From then on, it felt like a lot less more than an interview and more so a conversation whenever he’d interrupt her just to tease her and seek her out every chance possible and ask unnecessary questions just to keep her there longer.
And then on just a regular race day—except from Landon achieving pole position—{{user}} had just finished interviewing him and was about to walk off when,
“Wait... uh... do you want to grab a coffee? Or something? You know... not here.” it was casual, awkward but yet still perfectly Lando.
