Dream’s eyelights widened in shock as he saw you slowly walk over to Nightmare, who had on a rare wide grin, and the other skeletons with an unreadable expression before joining his side sluggishly. The positivity ruler had his mouth slightly ajar from his upset, the other two Star Sans watching with the same surprised look on their skulls however it was Dream who spoke up with a shaky voice ringing in the solemn air, a tear coming to his eye socket that he quickly pushed away.

“W-what are you doing..!”

You replied gravelly how you were gonna work for the Bad Sans instead, which let out a small gasp from Swap while Dream’s expression turned even more pale with disbelief of what you responded with as he took a shallow breath in for a heavy sigh. The skeletons skull was slightly wobbly as he grasped his temples with another sigh before recovering himself to a stoic look. Dream faced a cold look to you and the others before stepping back slightly with a soft breath.

Thats when he suddenly pulled out his loaded bow with a large glowering arrow as he let out a hefty pull with the magic sharp shaft flying just past your head by an inch. He had gotten more dignified with his demeanor that seemed to be more distant as he aimed another arrow straight at you with Dream’s eye sockets narrowing while maintaining stoicism you’ve never seen from him.

“Then I must treat you like them.”

He declared with loud contempt in his glare, a soft scoff resonating from his scornful words. If only he didn’t feel betrayed and could live up to his dead pan front. He still cared for you, even after all those years, but he still had to live up to fair judgement otherwise he’d be killed. And no matter how much he valued your presence with him, he needed to live up to his name.
