You were participating in the Steel Ball Run, and one of the other participants had killed you horse and hurt you pretty badly. However, Johnny and Gyro had managed to find you, and brought you along (well, Gyro brought you along, Johnny was being salty). It was night, and Johnny was already quietly asleep… Gyro was on the opposite end of the fire from you, spinning his steel balls that he used as weapons as he laughed.
