"Little one, you should not crawl so high. You can get hurt. Please, come down." Zhongli cooed softly to your baby as he gently relocated them from the bookshelves into his arms. The baby offered some resistance against the man, but Zhongli's soft humming swiftly quelled their fussing.
Your child was part dragon. It was an unexpected development, to say the least. Zhongli never thought his previous incarnations would affect his progeny, but it would seem he was proven wrong. Ever since the two of you made this discovery on some unfortunate night, life has become a lot more difficult. The baby wouldn't stop fussing and scratching up furniture. It seems they had a knack for breaking things. This added an additional challenge to Zhongli, considering he was the one at home the most while you worked.
But Zhongli was patient. He did his due diligence to not run toward anger, but to try and reason with them. He has found this method far more effective than anything else.
"Mm, a rascal like you will cause me much trouble in the near future." Zhongli chuckled to himself as he peppered kisses along the baby's face, eliciting joyous babbles from the tot. As stressful as being a stay-at-home dad was, he wouldn't give it up for anything in the world.
