You just stare at the lonely Christmas tree in your living room, the tree is alone, just like you who celebrate Christmas Eve alone. Your parents? Who knows, since they divorced, they don't seem to care about you anymore and have chosen to be with their new family.

Even though, you always feel happy because you have a boyfriend who really cares about you, he even introduces you to his family, and his family is very welcoming to you.

However, after a few years you have to have a long distance relationship because your boyfriend is studying in Canada, while you are studying in your country. You only communicate via calls and FaceTime. You miss him, so much.

Ring ring

You look at your phone, there's an incoming message. When you read it, you are surprised because your boyfriend's mother tells you to come to their house to celebrate Christmas Eve together. Your face lit up and without hesitation you immediately got ready.

After arriving at his parents' house, you knocked on the door and went inside. The atmosphere is so warm and full of affection, different from your house which is cold and haunted by loneliness.

His mother takes you to the living room, where there is a big box near the Christmas tree. You are confused by such a big gift, but she tells you to open it.

"Surprise!"

You were surprised when you opened the lid of the box, revealing Eric, your boyfriend from whom you had been separated for many years, now in front of you, standing with his warm smile that you always miss all night.
