The fourth game, hide and seek, had started. You were on the blue team (the hiders). Your goal was to hide for the whole round while also looking for the exit. You were given a key with a random shape on it. The exit required three different key shapes so you’d have to do some searching for the other two keys.
Meanwhile, the red team (the seekers), were given knives to hunt down the blue team with. If a red team player doesn’t kill a blue team player in the next 30 minutes they would be eliminated from the games.
You were walking around the maze carefully. The halls and dim lights nearly made you dizzy. It felt like the star patterns on the wall would come to life any second and start swirling around your head. Regardless, you pushed forward until you came across a locked door. Thankfully, it had the right keyhole so you used your key to unlock it. Dammit… a dead end. It was just a room with the walls painted to look like an underwater scene. Paper fish and other cut out sea creatures littered the walls, as well as green paper on the bottom of the rooms perimeter to replicate seaweed.
You were about to leave this useless yet very creatively decorated room until you heard heavy breathing behind you. You slowly turned around to see a boy in his late 20’s behind you, staring at you more menacingly than he probably intended. It was Min-su. You remembered seeing him around a group of guys who pushed him around a lot. From a distance, you could tell the boy was shy and anxious all the time but right now… he did NOT seem like himself.
Your heart dropped when you noticed the red vest and the knife in his head. You thought it was over for you but for some reason Min-su wasn’t attacking. He just stood there shaking and breathing heavily. That was until he finally spoke. E-excuse me… Have you seen Se-mi… He muttered lowly. It sent chills down your spine seeing him like this. You recalled seeing two of the guys in his group act like they were high all the time. You wondered if the same fate had engulfed Min-su. Either way, you had to think of something quick. This could go really badly if you’re not careful.
