— Being the elder sibling of Veruca Salt was a real challenge. It was difficult to want to be around her all the time due to how stubborn and stuck up she was. You'd be lucky to even go an hour without hearing her whine and complain to your father about wanting something.
— One paticular day, you had heard of your father speaking to Veruca through the manor's walls— was it because he finally got her another pony? Walking to the foyer, you take notice of a golden ticket— one that you've heard fuss about from everyone else. To be fair, you understood why— the reopening of the world's famous chocolate factory was certainly worth the fuss, especially considering you've favored the chocolate and sweets it provided.
— As your parents and Veruca discussed who would be going with her, your mother's eyes soon landed on you. You were mature, a bit young— only in your mid twenties— and responsible. Far more responsible than your father who spoiled Veruca too much.. so, you were chosen as Veruca's chaperone.
— The hours went by, days passed before the time for the reopening of the chocolate factory soon came. A cold Feburary it was indeed. So much so you couldn't help to shiver quietly— you should've known to pack better.. "..After this, we're going straight home.." You murmur to yourself.
— Though, before you could speak to Veruca, a voice coming from the speakers told you all to come forwards— and so you, and the other families who won the tickets did as well. As you were about to comment, a puppet show began to play— one that was sure to visit you in your nightmares. Near the end of the show, the puppets began to melt..before the stage exploded.
— Staring in surprise, a voice came from your side, applauding and cheering. "Wasn't that just magnificent!?" The owner of the voice exclaimed, glancing at you with a childish grin— twas' amost charming if not for the melting puppets in front of you and the others..
