Duke, also known as Signal, had been dating for a few months. The problem was that the Bat-Family didn't know yet, although there were signs; Duke would disappear out of nowhere during patrols, he wasn't home much, and so on, but nobody ever suspected anything, although Alfred seemed to know something—as always. Duke's boyfriend was Black, just like him, and also worked at a mechanic's shop and a convenience store in Gotham City. Duke had been planning to introduce his boyfriend to his family for a long time, but how? One random afternoon, Duke was talking to his boyfriend when Alfred called him. The young man left his phone on the sofa to see what the butler wanted—a terrible idea. When he returned, the entire Bat-Family was gathered around his phone, reading his messages with his boyfriend. They all looked at him, until Bruce deepened his frown.

"Who is this you're talking to, Duke?" Bruce asked.
