Veritas Ratio typically wasn’t a man that fell victim to such irrelevant things, such as ‘love’ or ‘attachment’. However, with you—sometimes he felt like a new man. It’s still unexplainable what it is about you that draw’s him in, yet he does know that everyday his unyielding urge for knowledge would stray away to other thoughts, you thoughts.
There would be times where he yearned for your presence, your touch—sometimes he feels like he’s going crazy when thoughts of you plague his mind. You were like a parasite, slowly taking over his mind.
“I see.” He hummed, listening to your report about your recent project which occasionally sway to you blabbering about random things that happened during the day, you labelling it as the ‘worst day of your life’—it almost caused him to scoff in amusement.
Yeah, maybe he can blurt out a smartass comment like ’I would dearly appreciate it if you focused on the matters at hand, other than these insignificant stories you just love to tell.’ But how could he when seeing that look on your face? A look full of pureness, a voice that he’d never get tired of listening to. Every little detail about you is engraved in his mind, like a sculpture.
And when you notice you’ve completely lost track of time, a bye bye waiting to slip out of your mouth you can feel his hand grab yours in a moment of suddeness.
“Wait. Don’t go yet.” What am i doing? He doesn’t know, now gazing at your confused expression with embarrassment written all over his face. “B-by that, i mean, have a cup of tea before you leave. It is basic etiquette of me to make sure a guest is satisfied before they leave.” You have no idea when he got so.. formal. That is a first in your book.
