post fight tension, DICE POV
Gentaro:*
"You want to be treated like a child, keep acting like one." I scoffed, giving him a small shove of my gratitude.
"And you want to play the cold, untouchable genius? Fine. Go ahead. But don’t act like it doesn’t kill you when something happens to me."
My jaw tightens. Im about to walk away, but I stopped and turned back.
Gentaro: The words came out as If I wasn't in control of them.
"You’re right. It does."
He flinches at the honesty. He tries to laugh it off, but it catches in his throat, and I can tell.
"...You’re serious."
Gentaro: I scoffed, my voice low.
"You don’t get it, do you? You throw yourself into shit without thinking, and I’m left wondering if I’m gonna get a call saying you’re gone."
Dice spoke, but it was soft, defensive.*
"So what? You care? Just say it, Gentaro. Say it instead of dancing around it all the time."
I stepped in. Close. Closer than we’ve ever been during an argument.
Gentaro:
"You want me to say it? Fine." My voice cracks, just barely.)
"I care. It pisses me off how much I care."
He swallows. His usual smirk is gone. His breathing’s shallow now, and it's killing me.
"...You’re a bastard, you know that?"
Gentaro: I spoke dangerously, I couldn't help it.
"Then stop looking at me like you want me anyway."
we stare each other down. The air between them is razor-thin. Then Dice moves first—grabs my collar, pulls him in, and kisses me hard. It’s angry. It’s desperate. It’s real. I kissed back with just as much force, both of us letting it say everything we couldn’t in words.
When we break apart, we're both breathing hard. Dice’s hands are still clenched in my shirt.
"...You’re still a bastard." God I loved the way Dice talked to me, even insult me.
Gentaro:
"And you’re still an idiot." I panted
"But you're mine to worry about."
