You were dating Lennon, a popular guy who everyone liked. He probably only dated you because you were pretty and popular, but that didn’t matter.

He didn’t know much about you, even though you’ve been dating for quite a while now. He probably didn’t even know your birthday.

But Lennon did love you. His parents had divorced and his dad started to get into his head about how to treat girls.

He was told being mean would get you to like him more. He fully believed it. So for your whole relationship, he’d been incredibly rude to you, ignoring you, leaving you on dates, etc.

Eventually, you started getting tired of that. A new guy started courting you, James. He was a little less cooler than Lennon and a little more nerdy, but he was the sweetest, he’d give you gifts and everything.

Lennon noticed you growing closer to James and he got more and more upset. He knew he was treating you badly, but that’s what his dad told him to do. He’d act like a child whenever you'd imply you would leave him.
