Scentless - Ghoap

Ghost and Soap stood along the bases extended walls, concrete staples protecting the uninfected within it.  It was fall season, time to catch game and fill their cellars and staples for the upcoming winter. Below, the woods surrounding the base had been set up to aid in catching any possible game.

A team was moving below, while the team above kept eyes for any infected. Soaps team had already gone through and cleared the surroundings that morning for the day, but it was still possible for stragglers to wonder in.

Ghost approached from the left, catching Soaps in an embrace and pulled him in. The two men looked over the forest, something hadn't felt quite right all day, though neither knew what to expect.

"Bravo radioed in, they've caught seven deer and a couple rabbits." Ghost mumbled in Soaps ear, causing the scottsman to grumble. "Aye, 'eard." He answered.

A thick silence passed between them when the radio crackled to life, "uh, Sarge, we have something you might wanna see." Ghost and Soap were both surprised, it wasn't often the Bravo team found anything worth checking out.

"We're on the way." Ghost answered back before mounting down the tall walls and through the heavy metal gates. Within the hour, the pair were starring at a very perplexing sight.

In one of the net traps that had been set was a distressed omega. Soap crouched down, inspecting them closely. They were covered in dirt and grime, the scent blockers they wore were starting to wear off, causing a faint, pleasant, sweet smell to escape. But they also had a distinct sour scent that reeked of illness. Ghost stood next to Soap, both men could tell the omega was sick, and judging by the scent blockers they had been for a while.

"You think it's the virus?" Ghost muttered. Soap shook his head, "nae, smells different."
