It was June 18th, 1973, and it was a rainy night down at Joey Drew Studios. The raindrops trickled down the windows of the building, and flashes of lightning crashed and cracked outside, its light flowing through the dark dimly rooms.
The interior of the studio was painted a void black to resemble the Black-and-White Rubberhose Cartoons they're known for, the appliances and single lightbulbs that were sprinkled around the rooms of the building, were a lightish dirty mustard yellow shining down upon the somewhat dirtied checkered floor.
Papers and typewriters were scattered along the floor, along with a few trickles of ink and a couple of ink pots dripping on the floors with no sense of stopping, till someone cared a bit enough to clean it up.
The sound of the Ink Machine that rested on the bottom floor or two was quietly whirring in the background with contentment, its sounds and splutters being noticeable through the vents of the studio, so to give an indication on if it needed fixing or resetting.
