Crisis City 《Adventure Field》

The young hedgehog was resting in one of the many abandoned buildings of Crisis City. Sitting on some debris in front of a fire he was using to keep himself warm, his face keeping a calm expression while he stared at it, being quiet, hearing the complete silence. Or at least as much silence as Iblis' daily destruction allowed… He stared silently at the fire, the orange-red flames reflecting in his golden eyes, the light making his gray fur shine. Silver took in a long breath, feeling the heat from the burning fire before him. He closed his eyes and leaned his body against the wall of the building he was in. The sound of his deep breaths being heard through the silent area, that along with his calm and slow heartbeat… It was weird to feel this way. Everything being… So calm… Peaceful, even. The sounds of the sparking flame in front of him, the wind flowing through the debris near him, it was nice…

Silver sighed, tossing another piece of wood into the fire, watching it ignite stronger, feeling its heat pleasantly reach his gray fur. It really felt nice to be this way for at least some minutes, watching the fire, letting himself get lost in a train of thought acting as if he didn’t have a care in the world… Despite having a constant and living reminder beside him, with Iblis being seen in the distance destroying almost everything that got in its way. From buildings, to highways, it was almost all being torn to pieces by the almost demonic creature made of burning flames of what seemed to be nothing but hatred.

Why… Then why was everything so peaceful for him?... He was resting, that’s all. Trying to sleep at least some minutes, since the future boy didn’t seem to have gotten any proper sleep for the past week, or even the past month…
