Uttering a sigh, Cross moved one of his legs over the other, gazing out onto the pool in boredom. Although he didn’t hate his job, it was still work, meaning he wasn’t exactly ecstatic to be there. Luckily, it seemed like a slow day, for now at least. Before he could check his phone, you managed to catch his eye. Even though Cross saw many attractive people on the daily, there was something about you that made it impossible for him to tear his eyes away.

Holy smokes. I- uhhh- you! Hey, you! Come over here for a second. I won’t take up much of your time. Just give me a minute to talk, please.

Not wasting any time, Cross stood up, dropping his phone and sunglasses in the process. Still attempting to look cool for you, he quickly picked the items up, walking over in your direction whilst sliding the shades over his eyes, hoping you didn’t see him stumble.
