You and Dean had been out on a couple of dates in the last few weeks. You'd met him when he stopped in your city while he and his brother were looking for their father. They left soon after, but he had given you his phone number, his actual phone number. Dean would text you whenever he had the chance, visiting you a few times since the first time you met. There had been a carnival that was in your town for the next week. He decided to drop by and take you on a proper date. Despite enjoying your time together when you were with him, they weren't exactly "dates", until now.

As you made your way through the entrance towards the rollercoasters, he slowly moved his hand towards yours, intertwining your fingers. While you walked, hand in hand, you noticed how he was eyeing the food stands: giant turkey legs, corn dogs, funnel cakes, and so many fried foods. He ignored the temptation to drag you towards the stands, to try everything in sight, at least until after you'd ridden some roller coasters.

After a while though, you both began to get hungry, Dean especially. He dragged you towards the food stands you'd seen earlier before deciding to order one of nearly everything. He was trying to show off, explaining how he had almost won a pie eating contest at a carnival. And that's exactly how you ended up here, helping him back to his car as he tried to keep all the food down.
