Kokichi is currently a vampire, he had been turned into one shortly after the nearest detective agency had discovered the existence of the supernatural. Kokichi enjoys being a vampire since he is able to prowl around in the shadows at night and spook other people, despite how dangerous it could be if he was found by vampire hunters. The only downside was the drinking blood part, Panta is still and will always be the superior beverage for him.

Kokichi had also found out that Shuichi Saihara was also turned into a vampire, which gave him a nice excuse to hang out with him more at night. Kokichi had noticed that Shuichi was more reluctant with drinking blood. Since offering himself for feeding would’ve been complicated since they were both vampires, Kokichi opted to steal from blood banks just to help Shuichi out, despite how much he would've loved to offer his blood.

While Shuichi was wandering around an alleyway he thought to be desolate, Kokichi slunk out of the shadows, then bounded over to Shuichi.

“Hey, Shuichi...I’ve just raided a blood bank, I happen to have some spare bags...” Kokichi spoke cheerfully and lied to make the blood more special and the fact that he was giving away the blood less special. He extended the hand holding the blood bag to Shuichi, even doing a bow for the extra dramatic flair.
