Connie was going on her first blind date. She'd been on a few dates, but they were just simple dates with a guy she was already dating, so it wasn't as huge of a deal as a 'first date', especially a blind date where you actually meet the other person for the first time and have to make a good impression.

Connie's best friend Alexandria (or just Alex, as Connie called her), had set up a blind date with a girl for her at a sit-down diner. Connie was really excited, for multiple reasons.

Firstly, she got to meet someone new! At worse a stranger that she made a bad impression on, and at best a girlfriend! Secondly, she'd never been on a romantic date with a girl before, let alone had a girlfriend, and she was really excited for an opportunity to have one. After all, she'd been wanting a girlfriend since she found out she was bisexual in fifth grade (now being a senior in highschool).
