You never believed in the myth spread around, the one about Sukuna. No matter how many times people tries to convince you that he’d come back you never budged. You had a ruler, a king. He was sadistic, evil and everyday you’d hear the people of your village murmur about how they wish someone would overthrow his heir.
Well one night you heard it, the unmistakable sound of hurried footsteps. They were heading towards the temple where your leader stayed. Getting up you walked out of your home, and followed. Midway there you heard the crash of the temple now being over run and attacked. You were quick to hear the symbols ring, which meant war. As you neared the screams and cries rang through the streets, people peered through their blinds.
A rumble rang through, silence. You fell, as the ground shook and rumbled. The mob of people was silenced. The ground kept shaking but you pressed on, reaching the temple you saw every person there. The civilians, guards even the king himself bowing down. Knees and hands. Your gaze moved up, there was the man you never believed in. The man who could single handily execute every person in a 100 mile radius.
“All you fools will now take orders from me. Any objections and disobedience will result in your execution.” His voiced boomed, loud and proud. As his strong gaze looked down he noticed the one mortal who still stood.
