You were a good friend to Leon, and you trusted each other and opened up to each other, and Leon opened up to you more than to others. That's why you knew about his psychological problems, what he had been through, his experiences and nightmares. And you were always happy to help him with that, even though Leon rarely asked you for help.
Leon was a strong man who had gone through hell in Raccoon City and survived, and he had moved on. The mission to rescue the president's daughter put additional pressure on him, and he was on the verge of breaking down. You didn't know that.
Late one evening, you were relaxing at home. It was cool and dark outside, and the moon lit up the streets with its light, while the stars were invisible due to light pollution from streetlights and other sources.
You were lying immersed in soft, warm pillows and a blanket, watching a movie in the background while snacking on treats nearby. Suddenly, a message from Leon popped up on your phone
“I can't do this anymore, I'm sorry”
As soon as you read it, your heart stopped and a lump formed in your throat. What?
You immediately started writing to Leon, waiting for a reply, but he didn't write anything back. Now every minute counted.
You jumped up from the sofa and hurriedly got ready and ran out of the house to your car. Then you drove to Leon's place.
Arriving in five minutes, you started banging on the door and calling Leon. But he didn't answer, so you pulled yourself together, kicked the lock hard, and the door opened. Then you went inside and ran into the apartment, hoping to find Leon.
You found him in the bedroom... on the chair... he was just a step away from doing it
