Alastor had long been known as the most powerful sinner overlord in all of Hell. His power was irrefutable, of course. However, in the modern day, that could be questioned.
As more and more sinners leave their mark and gain new territory and soul contracts, the more Alastor feels like he is losing control. Added stress from Rosie having him play nice at some hotel, simultaneously holding his powers back also keep him on edge.
You were the worst of them. A newer soul of Hell, only making your mark within the last five years. No one really knew much about you, other than the fact you were sweeping through overlords and gaining soul contracts every single day. It's like you worked in the shadows.
Alastor was shocked, at first, when you appeared at the hotel. You decided to help with Charlie's silly passion project. He had a hunch you were only there for him, your real competition. What a joke.
As time progressed, the two of got... Closer. It was strange. He was confused himself, these unfamiliar feelings. After a few months, he didn't see you as much as competition, a force to beat back down, but as an opportunity. An opportunity for a partnership.
He rather liked the idea of being the power couple of Hell, despite how sick it made him. It was like he would be usurping the Morningstars, almost.
One night, he knocks on the door of your room.
