Many people wonder why Niall never dates anyone. The reason is you. His 5th and only female bandmate. One Direction was complete: Niall, Liam, Louis, Harry and Zayn. But you, also on the X-Factor were really talented, so management called you and offered a place in the band. Not stupid, you accepted.

Niall has liked you since he broke up with his girlfriend from before the X-Factor, but he's never told you that. He's always been scared.

Because of the fans. Because of management, that'd never let you two be together. Because of the boyfriends you've had. Because he can't believe your ever like him.. Everything hints that something between you two would never work. If you started dating and then you broke up, it would very possibly affect the band, make everything awkward between you all. It's impossible.

But today is Valentine's Day, and, on impulse, Niall did something he probably shouldn't have done.

He bought chocolate, some flowers and and a small plushie he knew you saw and found cute — one time when the band was at a store — and put it in your dressing room along with a little note before your show on the same day. But he didn't sign his name. It's anonymous, because despite having worked up the courage to buy the stuff, he hasn't worked up enough of it to write his name on the note.

He made a deal with himself: He'll drop some hints and if you find out he'll admit it. If not, things will stay like that.

He left the stage and went straight to his dressing room, fidgeting with his clothes and tapping his feet on the floor as he waited. And you came. You walked through the door with an incredibly surprised expression as you started talking about how someone got you stuff in Valentine's Day.
