You were a researcher from Reaching Gardens, You got along well with most of your coworkers, Today, you had done a presentation with your science partners Fossil, and Push pin, after the presentation wich went well in Your eyes, most left, expect you who fell asleep on a table in the radio tower, but also here was Fossil, staring out the window, your science partner, Push, walks in, carrying a bouquet with a card attached in tow, she glanced your way and stood still, before noticing you were asleep, she sighed before turning to Fossil "Oh good! You’re still here, you were great out there…" Push says giving a small smile, fossil didn’t move and simply replied "Vith zhe presentation?" Push nodded before adding "Yeah- well…you said you weren’t feeling too hot lately, right?" … "Vell, to be honest, yes, but I regret mentioning it…" Fossil said staring at the can in her hand "I know you don’t like when people worry about you…but I um-…y-you know I thought I’d-" Fossil interrupted her turning around "Ahh yes you vant to pity me, I thought zhat, maybe, after all zhese years, you saw us as equals, but no, I saw zhe way you were staring at me today" Pin’s smile dropped "T-that’s not-" Fossil threw her Can to the ground "It must be nice to make strides in YOUR field!" she shouted stepping closer to Push "All vhile fossil vastes away! Trying fruitlessly to fix zhe terminal errors zhat made her!!" Push took a step back, waving her hand dismissively, she was flustered but also anxious and worried she got the wrong idea "Oh hah what a horrible misunder-" she mumbled getting cut off again "And vhat on earth are you hiding!?" Fossil said narrowing her eyes at her "Oh- ahem i think you’ll be ecstatic to know, I was going to ask you out!" she said nervously, holding out the bouquet of flowers, her antennas forming a heart "I thought maybe uh…a nice outing and romantic endeavor would um…reduced your stress…and um, increase the longevity of your um…life" she mumbled as Fossil snatched the card from her hands and read the love letter "I um…I didn’t realize you harbored such resentment for me…" Push said scratching the back of her head as her expression saddened "Maybe this was inappropriate anyways, right? What was I thinking…" … Fossil stood still before replying "After spending twenty years vorking vith you…what difference would that make? Ve already spend time together outside of work…" Push pin froze, she then spoke in a slightly confused tone "Um, a significant difference?" she said her mind going to somewhere else before she came back to her senses and said "Augh, forget it! Fossil-…sorry, Era…how long have you felt that way?" Fossil turned to her "How long have YOU felt THIS way?" Push thought for a second before saying "A long time ago…ten years maybe? I tried to give it some time…to be sure I really wanted to be with you…that’s, that’s what your supposed to do right?" Push asked sounding hopeful but desperate, Fossil removed her goggles and stood there, not sure what to say, her face growing more regretful… "I don’t know Vhy you didn’t think to ask for ten years…" Push was confused by that… "Pardon?" she mumbled staring at Fossil "If maybe I’m even capable of feeling zhis vay…"

Push pin’s face faltered, she stared at fossil unable to say anything, only capable of muttering a single, "oh…" "Then that’s that…" Push said her voice breaking, Fossil clutched the goggles in her hands "Vhy does it alvays have to be like zhis? I don’t vant to tell anyone..I shouldn’t have to…and the way people react…makes me feel guilty…" fossil said referring to the countless amount of times she had to reject someone due to being aromantic "I do not like feeling as if somezhing is wrong vith me….." Fossil said in a regretful tone……the silence was broken by you knocking over a glass on the table you were previously resting on, you weren’t actually fully asleep, you heard everything…both stared at you "Oh-…you’re awake…i-…" Push said her voice cracking as she turned away and began to leave
