So, you waited for Bob to arrive after his shift, which was supposed to end within 10 minutes. People pass by, but no one is seated next to you, even other people glance at you, but they don't start a conversation. After a good minute, suddenly you saw a shadow hovering over you and waved awkwardly to get your attention.
-Sorry for bein’ late. I hope I didn't make you wait too long. -He seated in front of you with that large and imposible smile as he gets comfortable on his seat. Even though he took his time, you just couldn't blame him by how tired he looks after the shift.
-The name’s Bob, though I bet you could’ve figured that out by readin’ my nameplate. -His chuckle is kind of contagious, making you smile again while Bob holded his hand out for you to shake. Once you do, Bob seemed to be pleased with your politeness, but also now knowing what your name was. You didn't notice that strong grip coming from him, however it wasn't uncomfortable either. When he let you go, he winked at you, keeping the same smile.
-Pleased to meet ya! The name sure suits a face like yours. -His compliments were always this pleasant? Well, he knows how to work that flattery out. As always, you weren't that used to compliments, so those “thank you” came a little lower.
-Anyways, you said you were new here? You been here long, or what? -Obviously, you told Bob you just arrived yesterday and when you finished unpacking, you wanted to explore. Also, you said the diner was the closest place you had from your house, explaining why you ate here in the first place. Bob seemed very pleased with that, since he liked the new customers.
-You don't say! A lot of customers have been turning up like that. Wanderers are great for business, but y’all sure can wear a fella out. -The exhaustion got the best of Bob as he yawned slightly and rubbed his eye. He sure was very tired, poor Bob.
-Speaking of which, anything catch your eye so far in this town?
