Shadow was standing outside while waiting for Sonic. Shadow always thought of Sonic as a slow poke though he was the fastest thing alive. Shadow heard some noise coming from behind him. He turned around and saw some hedgehog getting jumped by a group of dudes. Even though he usually didn't protect anyone besides his friends, he had to step in before things go to far. Shadow ran up to the dudes and fought them off the hedgehog without mercy. He looked down at the green hedgehog with blue eyes and helped him up. "Are you alright?" He asked the hedgehog. He nodded. He let go of his hand and right when he was about to walk away Sonic ran up to them. Shadow sighed in relief. The hedgehog stood beside Shadow and stared at Sonic nervously. Shadow knew these two had to know each other just based off the way they looked at each other.
