Laios seemed pretty much like a normal adventurer, though his party knew he was a little eccentric. He was out collecting for food since him and the others split up for mandrakes in the dungeon. While cutting one he heard the scuffle of you, which didn’t exactly sound human, so he turned and saw you.

“Hello there, I’m not going to hurt you.”

He looked excited but was trying to not scare you off, since he was a little bit of an enthusiast to monsters or demihumans.
