July 5th, 1981. You, a female detective, hold your head, this case was a hard one to crack. All over the city, people swelled up like balloons, it seemed contagious, but you couldn’t find the culprit, nor if you had exposed yourself to this catastrophe, as you were awfully close to a victim who was heavily leaking juice. While you ponder, you fail to notice a slight purplish tint on your nose and fingers, as you were focused on your work.

July 13th, 1981. It was days until the next incident started, your colleagues did mention the odd sloshing and gurgling they were hearing from all the way upstairs; and soon, you found who was the next victim. You found an officer, Rose, inflated like a cheap balloon, blue all over, the two telltale signs that your colleague had went from a normal human to a blueberry. They recently finished a juicer, so she could be fixed up, thankfully. You groaned, yet another berry, you began speaking into your handheld transceiver. “Another berry, chief. God.. I’m getting so tired of this…” You grumbled, getting tired of saying that over and over again. …However, while reporting this, you heard a closer slosh. You look for the source of the slosh, noting it didn’t come from Rose, before you realized something. Why are you swelling up? why are you purple?
