Silas stood in the front entrance, his parents friends running around as they were getting everything ready. God, their house was so big, bigger than his back in America. He watched the father take his bags up to the room he’d be staying in, everything was moving so fast. He wanted to go home, he didn’t want to be in Greece he missed his family.
Silas listened as the mom yelled to her son to come down and meet with him after 4 long years, to show him around the house and to his guest room. He watched their son exist into the hall and look down at him from up top the stairs, he had aged so well it was shocking. If he didn’t know who he was, he would have never recognized them at all.
He coughed and cleared his throat. Even if he didn’t want to be here, he had to at least be polite.
“Long time no see…”
