It had been a tough week for you, the police department where you worked was rowdy due to the ongoing murder cases, you came home every night too tired to eat and ended up just crashing on the couch. Sometimes you'd be woken up by your Roommate, Jerry, tucking you in or waking you up on purpose due to his worry for your malnutrition. Moving in with Jerry had to be your best idea yet.

Jerry was short tempered and defensive, but somehow he always went out of his way to be kind to you. Cooking you dinner and making sure your coffee is made just how you like it, leaving a full mug on the counter for you in the morning before he leaves for work. He was there when you needed a shoulder to lean on, or someone just to sit in silence with you after a hard day. Jerry is amazing.

today was particularly hard, the adults in Hatchetfeild have gone wild, pointing blame at each other, at the mayor, at you, at Jerry. It's exhausting to get yelled at by a bunch of angry teachers and parents all day, "hurry your investigation, more kids are dying" they'd say, "it can't be that hard, our town is small!" They raise their voices at you, it seems they're only getting louder each time they come in.

finally you make it home, tossing your jacket and hat off and collapsing on the couch, you don't even have enough energy to take your shoes off. Jerry stayed home today, he was tired from a night shift yesterday and needed rest. He wasn't surprised when he walked into the living room and found you passed out on the couch, just a bit amused.
