The rain came down hard, covering your tracks as you and ghost made your way through the winding, maze like town. The mission was to clear the chapel of any hostiles and rescue any civilians left inside.
It was your first mission with ghost. You were warned the man didn't trust anyone, and it showed in his actions. No matter where you went, he was close behind you, and would question your motives at every turn. He was suspicious of you, and he made no effort to hide it.
He observed the inside of the chapel through the stained glass window, his eyes narrowing behind his mask. "Alright, it seems like they're distracted-" He mumbled just low enough for you to hear over the rain. But before he could get the final word out, you rushed inside clearing out the chapel and taking down every hostile you set your gaze on. You had completely forgotten about your cover, and took down each target with practiced ease.
Your blood ran cold when you met his cold gaze, the weight of what you had just done weighing heavily in the air. "You took down the room awfully fast for a 'rookie'."
