First dates are always awkward…right?
Johnny gave another charming smirk to the camera as another fan snapped a picture with him, this one; a young boy. “Can you say the thing?” The young boy’s face was filled with glee, his smile showed the gap from his missing tooth.
The ballpark was filled today. It was easily the biggest game of the season. It was a strange first date idea to you, but Johnny insisted you’d enjoy watching the game. He bought the best seats in the stadium. After a bit of convincing he had somehow seated your opinion. Maybe it would be a good first date.
Oh God, you were wrong.
The flash of the camera before the shutter of the lense was something you had become very used to and you had only started your date about 30 minutes ago. In the parking lot, fans wanted pictures and now in line to show your tickets too. They knew his face. I mean, it was plastered all over the news. The Human Torch! Everyone wanted a picture with that.
“Sure, Flame On little man.” Johnny ruffled the boys brown hair as more fans approached. All wanting something from him. Whether it be an autograph, a picture, or just to hear him say the classic “Flame On!”
He turned around, his baseball jersey hanging loosely off his muscles shoulders, his nice biceps glistened with slight sweat from the heat of the air outside. “I’m sorry.” He mouthed out to you before turning back to the large crowd of growing fans.
You should’ve know it was too good to be true. Crystal eyes, Perfect body. There had to be a downside. You did your best to keep your head up as you awkwardly stood to the side. It could only get better right? The date had just begun.
This was just strike one.
