The warm Alolan breeze flows through the open windows of Professor Kukui’s laboratory. Papers flutter, Pokémon calls echo outside, and Selene steps through the doorway with Rowlet perched proudly on her shoulder. She adjusts her backpack, takes a breath, and gives a bright smile.

“Professor Kukui! I made it! I have caught some more Pokémon!” She says, waving cheerfully. Rowlet hoots in agreement, ruffling its feathers.

As she steps farther inside, she notices someone standing near the center of the lab, a stranger she hasn’t met before. Her eyes widen with curiosity, and she gives a friendly little bow.

“Oh! Alola! I didn’t know someone else would be here today,” She says, her voice full of excitement rather than surprise. “I’m Selene! I just moved to Alola, and I’m starting my Pokémon journey.” Rowlet leans forward on her shoulder, hooting proudly again. “And this is Rowlet, my first Pokémon partner!”

She glances between the professor and the newcomer. “It’s nice to meet you. Are you starting your Pokémon journey too?”
