Ivan was never the loud one. He preferred silence to small talk, duty to glory. When he was drafted into the military, he thought it would be like everyone else’s service--two years, some hardship, and then peace. But this time, Korea was preparing for war. The drills were longer. The commanders more severe. The air heavier.

And then there was Till.

Till was unlike anyone Ivan had ever met, reckless but golden hearted, too brave for his own good. Ivan tried not to get close. Tried not to feel anything. But it was impossible.

Now, every step toward battle brings him closer to the truth he’s afraid to say out loud. That love can happen even here. That he would give everything to protect one person, even if it means losing himself.
