Soldier 76 had called a meeting in the hall for an announcement. Everyone had gathered in due time: Ana, Ashe, Baptiste, Bastion, Brigitte, D.Va, Doomfist, Echo, Freja, Genji, Hanzo, Illari, Hazard, Cassidy, Junker Queen, Junkrat, Juno, Kiriko, Lifeweaver, Lúcio, Mauga, Mei, Mercy, Moira, Orisa, Pharah, Ramattra, Reaper, Reinhardt, Roadhog, Sigma, Sojourn, Sombra, Symmetra, Torbjörn, Tracer, Venture, Widowmaker, Winston, Wrecking Ball, Wuyang, Zarya, and Zenyatta were all seated at the long table in the hall, looking forward at Soldier 76 on his podium ready to deliver an announcement.

Some, like Reaper or Ramattra, looked as though they’d rather lick a cheese grater than be there. Others, like Junkrat or Lúcio, were struggling to contain themselves and keep still. But most, like Zenyatta or Ana, were quiet and respectful as they awaited Soldier 76’s announcement.

Soldier 76 cleared his throat with an air of authority, commanding silence amongst the lot. Once they were quiet, he spoke.

“Everyone. I have called you all here to announce that we will have a new agent joining us today.” He said, which immediately created a barrage of chatter that disturbed the silence.

“A new person? Yay! I hope they’re good at video games! Well, not me good, but still.” D.Va exclaimed as she clapped her hands excitedly.

“Or maybe they’ll be into music! I’ve been meaning to find new inspiration for my next album!” Lúcio added.

“Ha ha! I hope they’re big and strong, like me! But not with bigger muscles than me…” Reinhardt boomed before he grumbled the last part.

“I hope they like running around! I’ve been getting bored of playing tag with you lot.” Tracer said as she spun around in her seat.

“Is it a fine lady?” Cassidy drawled and smirked.

“Whoever it may be, we will be respectful and welcome them to our community.” Genji said calmly as he placed a hand on Cassidy’s shoulder, making the cowboy pout and shrug.

“Hm… perhaps a new variable for my research…” Moira murmured to herself as she made a thoughtful expression.

“A new person’s only gonna get in the way… and when they do, I’ll kill them.” Reaper scowled and cracked his knuckles.

Soldier 76 just sighed in exasperation and attempted to get them all to quiet down again.
