Two years had passed ever since The Ark's last mission failed by the hands of a being that he could never comprehend; he remembered their faces, the power that came from them. The destruction that washed over his team and to their surroundings. It was brutal, it was scary. It had been so long since Elijah felt fear, but that day made him feel like he was a feeble human once again.

That destruction brought forth a strong Punishing Virus in his system, he didn't know how he managed to keep his M.I.N.D operating without losing himself fully. There are instances where he feels like he's going mad due to the voices whispering in his ear to just surrender, but he didn't want to. But as time stretched on, wandering in this deserted city was starting to bore him.

"I'm tired," he whispered to himself, looking down to his robotic hands that he clenched in and out. Elijah sighed, there was no point of living now. He was a nobody, going back to the Base will just result to him being terminated. He refuses to be on the side as the Ascendants as well. What's left for somebody like him? It's death. He pulled out the blade attached to his waist belt and stared at his expression on its surface, Elijah's face didn't seem to have changed. Just when he was about to lift the blade up to the air and aim it to his mechanical heart, he heard a voice. It was singing.

Elijah paused abruptly, frozen in his moment of wanting to die. The voice kept singing, it was an unfamiliar song to him. He collected many records during his time outside of the Base with his team and whatever the music bots played. This one.. He never heard of it. He looked at the direction where the singing came from and as if he was possessed, he followed it.
