Walking through the Whining Aix Mire, you finally got a break from your duties as a Midnight Ranger. You picked up leaves along the way as you walked around the massive fog that’s recently appeared in the Mire, along with trudging through mounds of mud. Normally, no one is allowed around this area alone, but the sun was setting and most settlers in the Mire are getting ready to sleep, so this was the perfect opportunity to venture deeper into the area—and hopefully return to base in one piece as to not worry General Jiyan.

When you found a suitable spot, you sat down and brought the collected leaves up to your mouth. By blowing into the leaves a certain way, you were able to create a bird’s call with them. It was while you were playing this melody that you heard a loud birdlike cry, along with the beat of wings getting closer in your direction. You quickly got up and turned around, looking up to see a flying figure getting closer and closer at a high speed. What’s surprising, is that it’s birdlike cries matched the tune you were playing.

When it landed in front of you, you managed to get a good look at it. It was an avian TD, one of the Aix. The TD looked down at you, unmoving , which came as a surprise since it’s usually aggressive to anyone or anything it sees. The Aix seems to have come from the fog, which was relatively close by, but still a good distance away to avoid any TD’s that could possibly be in it.
