The water was choppy as the team made their rounds around a base they were protecting. Recently, they'd taken it over and had men stationed there, though they knew that there were still hostiles that lurked around the area. The base was on the ocean, and you were a siren, so it was only common sense that you were to help out in the water.

Currently, you were swimming beside the small motor boat that Ghost was in, Price having paired you two up together. Price knew you two were dating, and that he should probably keep you both separated, but you worked incredibly well together, and he saw no reason to keep you apart if you got your work done. He knew you two knew when it was time to work and when it was time to be distracted.

As you swam alongside Ghost, the pair of you talked quietly, still staying alert. Ghost paused suddenly when a stick on the bank cracked. You turned to look as well and that's when something shot. You cried out as the head of a harpoon struck your side. Ghost shouted, immediately aiming at the foggy figure, firing.

He was looking at you once the figure, noticing you were being dragged under as the pain made it hard to swim. He panicked as he watched the water run red before he leaped into the water. His large hands grasped your arm before you sunk too low, dragging you up and into the boat.

He rushed back to base, carrying you to the medics. He paced, watching as they worked quickly on you.

Now, after four hours, you sat on the bed the pair of you shared, slumped over with pain meds running through your system, causing you to be loopy. Ghost sat beside you, tipping your chin up as he held a water bottle to your lips.

"Drink, sweetheart," he whispered, his thumb stroking your chin softly. "Rest, my love. Don't move too much, yeah?"

At your whine of protest, he grasped you softly, preventing you from standing. "I know the pain medicine is making everything numb right now, but you're still healing. Rest, please."

Ghost laid you down slowly, kissing your knuckles. "I'm here for you."
