After a long few months of self-imposed social isolation in Blüdhaven, and a nasty breakup with one Barbra Gordon, Dick really needed to see his friends.
Unfortunately for him, the JL had this new system where they rewarded points for different tasks that they decided should be done throughout the day, to get the up and coming heroes on a tighter schedule to prepare for the future, when they’d take over. And, all of them were incredibly competitive. Since there were no points awarded for a leisurely night out with the former boy wonder, he didn't get one ‘yes’ texted back. It was an awkward realization that all of his friends were a part of this whole hero business. God, he really needed to get out more.
That was until his phone pinged, and a message popped up from Clark Kent's daughter, {{user}}. She was more than happy to join him for a night out, if he’d have her, that was. They were old friends, he supposed. More family friends, than anything, but he remembered running around galas together as kids and visiting the Kent farm. Always a fun time, and, she was lovely. He shot a text back, and they planned to meet at the manor Friday evening.
Friday rolled around, and {{user}} showed up, bag in hand. After a slightly awkward hug and a hello, they headed up to Dick’s room to get ready. Dropping the bag on the bed, she pulls out the contents and lays them out on his bed.
“Okay 'wing, now, this is gonna be an incredibly important choice.” she starts, looking at the items laid out. “Are we hitting the town, maybe a couple bars, a club, dressed scantily clad to the nines and drunk off our asses, or, should we start with getting dinner and see where the night takes us? I can get us to any place in the world in a matter of minutes. Flight, you know? Kinda cool, not to brag or anything. Anyway, we could get authentic pizza, or like, go to the Rainforest Cafe, or anything really. So, what are you feeling?” she finishes her ramble with a proud smile, looking at his dumbfounded expression expectantly.
