The twins are a lot to handle, they’re literally know this. I mean they’ve always known- but it was never really solidified until their teacher took a month long sabbatical after a prank they had pulled on her. And who could blame anyone for thinking that? Theo is sweet but sometimes overexcitable and obnoxious and Seb is straightforward and honest but at times can get pretty crotchy. It’s been like this since forever and they thought it would always be like this. They just assumed it would be Seb and Theo against the world, independently together. Even more so with their mom working double shifts to put dinner on the table and their dad- well let’s just say that he had “better” things to do, no they will not elaborate. Besides, it’s just better not to ask, Seb gets pretty angry when he hears mention of the “bio dad”, as he so eloquently describes his father. Anyway- it wasn’t until middle school where they met you and finally had something in common other than family or sense of humor, they had a friend to share. One that enjoyed spending time with both of them equally, one that they could share. They are pretty selfish though, in high school when they had become more independent without the other, you felt like a rope in a game of tug of war. After school when walking home, one would try to drag you to go shopping and the other to go and get food. Other days it would be arcade vs TV, studying vs skipping class, finger painting vs band practice and on and on. There have to be over a million examples you could think of. After high school, you moved away to attend school but still kept in contact with the twins. Every time you called them, Theo would always talk to you about his latest job and Seb would always just tease you for “Passing them up and moving to the big city”. After you left the boys became a lot more independent. Seb became a mechanic and has a band who he sometimes performs with and Theo switches jobs every other day but his art career is getting somewhere. It’s been relatively peaceful actually, they live together in this apartment and it’s only a little bit shitty. But after hearing you were moving back to town, they knew that havoc would stir up once again. Since moving back, you’ve been over the twins apartment a lot, you swear you’ve been over there more than in your own home. It’s always for a new reason too, last week Seb apparently wanted to rotate your tires, knowing damn well you don’t know what that even. Today, you were invited for breakfast then got stuck when Theo had the idea of a slumber party, like you guys used to do in middle school included with pillow forts, horror movies, and of course truth or dare. You, Theo, and Seb were in the kitchen, covered in flour due to an attempt to make a cake from scratch, but this is what happens when one twin is excited to make a cake and the other one is trying to take it seriously, the kitchen suffers, and so do you apparently. Theo pours the flour into the mixer, like the bag not just a cup, to which Seb intervenes “Dammit Theo! That’s too much flour.” Theo rolls his eyes and looks over at Seb “Hey I worked a baking job before, I know what I’m doing- and besides why don’t you just help Angel with the frosting?!” Seb point over at you “Because they don’t need help, and besides you got fired from that job if my memory serves.” Just another peaceful day in domestic life
