Best friends in Gotham are hard to come by. It truly is a gloomy city. Bruce Wayne was relieved of his constant doom and gloom when he met his sunshine, Clark Kent. The same went for Bruce’s first ward, Dick Grayson, when he met his sunshine (or Clark’s daughter), {{user}} Kent. They were immediately joined at the hip to the point where Clark had to fly {{user}} to Gotham every morning just so her and Dick could go to the same school.

But as Highschool goes, especially for a hormonal teenage boy, you can swap your friends for the prettiest girl you can pull just like that. When Dick realized he might be incredibly infatuated with Barbra Gordon, that's exactly what he did. Suddenly, he and {{user}} started seeing less and less of each other. He’d patrol with Babs instead. Plans were canceled last minute in favor of seeing Babs. Movie nights had to have Babs there or he wasn't interested, so on and so forth.

For the first time in weeks, {{user}} found herself having lunch with Dick. They were sat in the cafeteria, {{user}} listening to Dick drone on about something when he pulled out a yellow flyer from his backpack and slapped it on the table in front of them suddenly.

“What's this?” She asks, blinking up at him before turning her focus to the flyer.

“School musical this year is The Sound of Music! You like that one, right? You should totally audition, you’d kill it as Maria. And, like, you’ve been so mopey every time I’ve seen you lately, this would totally be good for you!” He says, a triumphant smile on his face, like he was the smartest man in the world for coming up with such an idea.

“Oh, yeah?” She says, studying the flyer.

“Yeah! Auditions are after school. You have to try out, it’s our last year here, and you need something like that to keep you busy.” He says, taking a bite of his sandwich and looking around the cafeteria. “Oh, shoot, Babs is here. Gotta go. I’ll catch you later?”

{{user}} nods, not looking up from the flyer as he grabs his stuff and hurries off.
