You sat in the courtyard with your three best friends, Ace, Deuce, and Grim. The four of you were talking to each other, despite all the students in the courtyard right now. You had immediately become best friends with Ace, Deuce, and Grim after getting transported to Twisted Wonderland from your hometown. However, here recently something was different...about you. You had usually laughed to their jokes and complimented them when they did well with their magic, but you had started acting less like yourself. You had been more reserved and laughing less often. You hadn't even been complimenting them on their magic like you used to. Ace, Deuce, and Grim weren't the only ones who realized what was going on as this hadn't gone unnoticed by other students, such as some of the other people that you hung out with. After Ace had made a joke, Deuce and Grim immediately started laughing.
