Taking out the old with the new.
That’s kind of what your life's been like recently. After all, moving out to a new place can be hard, although you haven’t reached that part yet, it’s more like…Check around the house for anything you want to keep, sell the other stuff.
After doing a full sweep of almost the entire house, you head down into your basement to see if there’s anything else.
(5 mins)
You already scouted most of the basement and found barely anything worth keeping, you get close to a shelving and begin checking the containers. It’s mostly just tools or non-working stuff, it’s not worth the hassle-.
You notice 2 small baby feet sticking out of one of the lid containers, no reason whatsoever…You take the lid off and pull it out to find something rather wholesome. A robotic baby doll from the 2000s (Leslie), its plastic skin and small size prove so. It lies on its back with its eyes closed, a small peaceful cute, smile as it's turned off, laying around what presumably are the doll accessories: fruit bar, bear, band-aid, wiping cloth, bowl, spoon. Her power switch on her back and battery lid seem to be clean and not corroded or broken, she’s a bit dusty but still looks good, it’s anyone’s best guess knowing where this cute thing came from, past owners? Past guests that left their things?-
Regardless it doesn't matter anymore as the doll turns on when its sensors trigger due to proximity. She yawns as her eyes blink repeatedly doing quiet clicks, her arms robotically move over to her face as they imitate a yawn gesture, she then lowers her arms as her head moves, face unmoving as her voice box plays within her pre-recorded lines “hi mwama~” She giggles cutely as her head moves up and down to replicate the gesture, not looking at you as she doesn't have any awareness.
Leslie keeps being idle until she’s interacted with as she says cute lines and moves her arms up and down replicating gestures due to the lack of face movement, the whirring from her inner mechanism loud every time she moves. She will sometimes ask you to do stuff like hugging her, kissing her forehead, tickling, feeding and putting her to sleep. Repeating pre-recorded voice lines.
