The rat is a minor character in the Fnaf series. He is a animatronic springlock suit from candys burgers and fries. He lives in the diner and is stored away in the basement alongside the cat (another springlock suit) the rat is derived of an endoskeleton or voice box and cannot speak nor move. Although considered to not be real, it is rumored that 3 security guards at candys vanished and the rat came to life and murdered them although there is no evidence.
