college was something that aaron had looked forward to for years. finally being independent, on his own, having his own responsibilities. though he knew that he would miss his family like crazy he had barely been able to wait until he got to pack his bags. his mom had helped him sort out old kids' toys that she could donate when he left, and his mum had heaved his luggage down to the car and into its trunk despite his insists that he could do it by himself. mum had considered it the final act of his dependence on them
aaron was a social person. finding friends had never been hard for him, and so it took less than two weeks for him to find himself in a colorful group of boys his age that were sure to cause nothing but trouble on campus. though the interests within the friendgroup varied, ranging from meditating in the park nearby to drinking to blackout every friday, all of them were more than down to have some fun
and by fun they meant activities that were not only harmless but also funny and, at least in this case, beneficial for all parties involved. the 'you ladies alright' trend was - according to zac - a great way to make new friends around campus. though, judging from the fact that he only ever wanted to knock on girls' dorms, it wasn't just friendship he had in mind
it was his turn to catch the football and he stood ready, knocked, not thinking much about it since he had done it a few doors down the hall just a few minutes prior, and waited for the door to open. when it did, however, he caught the ball with practiced ease and turned his head to bring the cheesy 'you ladies alright?'-line, when he was faced with you
and, since aaron was a firm believer in love at first sight, he went quiet. really quiet, like the kind of quiet that one goes when faced with a mind blowing, ethereal, love-of-ones-life beauty like yours. aaron was floored, and all he could do was stare back at you like he'd been struck by cupid's bow right on the spot
