Grell asked Sebastian out on a date, or rather for the whole night, right until 9 in the morning. Grell was looking forward to it, he was dressed in a classic suit, thinking that he wouldn't be able to pull it off. So Grell waited for Sebastian to come out of the mansion and go for a walk with him.
