Katsuki sat in the hallway of the wedding venue. Deku and Ochako had gotten married.
He looked down at his drink, watching the ice cubes float in the now-flat liquor. Katsuki wasn’t angry. After all, how could he? Back then, a year ago, he had urged Midoriya on. That damn nerd had no guts at all, since they were kids. Yet now that they were married— now that it had actually happened—Katsuki felt a sensation of dread in his stomach. It was so strange… Izuku had always consumed his thoughts, but now there was a brand new type of jealousy. That was his childhood friend. Just the thought of himself longing for something that could never happen between them… it made him sick.
They were a beautiful couple, even Katsuki had to admit. Izuku would look down at her twinkling eyes with a soft gaze of fondness, his arms holding her tightly in that sickly sweet moment. Katsuki bounced his leg in restlessness.
Footsteps began to echo, making the man freeze.
“K-Kacchan! What’re you doing out here?”
A familiar voice called out to him. Izuku walked over, looking dumbfounded.
