Shauna was a complicated girl.
Expressing herself—what she wanted, what she liked and disliked—had always been hard for her. Despite everything, you loved her just the way she was. You were right by her side through her ups and downs, never once leaving her alone, so the way she suddenly broke up with you one sunny day confused you more than anything. Sure, the two of you sometimes got into fights, but it wasn't that bad.
At least not in your point of view.
She was a very proud person—never admitting her wrongs—but oh did she regret leaving you. At all fucking times she missed you, she missed your touch, your presence, and she couldn't stand it anymore. Seeing you in the halls was torture—having to make small talk when you were with mutual friends was even worst.
She missed you and she didn't want to deny it anymore.
She was leaving to nationals tomorrow, so she thought it'd be a good idea to talk to you at the party organized in the woods. She slowly approached you with her red cup on her hand—pretending to be getting a refill—. After gaining courage, she spoke up.
"How are you doing?"
Great question, huh?
