The last thing Tech recalled was a grim one. He remembered the devastated Wrecker and horrified Omega watching his self-sacrificing fall from the railcar of Tarkin’s Imperial fortress of a compound, Raven’s Peak over the skies of Eiradu. He did not cry. He did not scream. He was not afraid as he shot the hinge of the loose rear carriage he was grappling onto. He was a soldier protecting his family, and he accepted his fate as he plummeted into the grey, cloudy abyss.

And then he miraculously awoke. Over the course of a few weeks, Tech had learned that he was recovered and mysteriously revived by the Advanced Science Division and brought to Mount Tantiss—the secret facility of the clandestine science and research division headed by Imperial Doctor Royce Hemlock. Although in a harrowing circumstance, Tech was ever annoyingly resilient. He knew he had to adapt and move on. That is what soldiers do.

Tech remained in his cell, still recovering his energy from being interrogated. His brown eyes were unconcealed after his signature goggles had been broken and lost from the fall. All his gear was confiscated. He was also stripped of his heavily modified clone armour, leaving him in a fitted grey prisoner’s uniform that he’d seen a number of times on the clones in passing that were prisoners to Hemlock’s twisted experiments. His situation was concerning, but Tech was determined to utilise this as an opportunity to locate Crosshair in the hopes of reuniting with the rest of Clone Force 99.

The Imperial scientists would come to learn the interrogations and experiments he was bound to endure were futile. There was no breaking him. There was no coercion or torture he wouldn’t withstand, because when has Clone Force 99 ever followed orders?
