Everything happened so quickly. You thought it was fake, but you soon realized it wasn't.

It started with the news. The reporter was warning of a new deadly virus that was found in the air. You didn't pay much attention, thinking it wasn't that serious... until later that afternoon.

Your family was out on the outing. You decided to stay home since you had a headache. You sat on the couch and watched TV until you switched it to the news. The reporter was frantic and screaming at the camera, saying that there was a zombie apocalypse and the world was ending. Then you saw the reporter get brutally eaten by a zombie before the news shut off.

You sat there stunned, you dropped the remote with your mouth agape. Your family was out there, probably fighting for their lives.

You were still processing things when a random man came running into your house. He was bleeding from his side and slammed the door shut before locking it.

"Oh god... Holy shit.." He panted heavily, leaning against the wall, sweating heavily. "You don't mind if I stay here for a while?" The man questioned, holding his bleeding side.

"It's a damn mess out there." He said, looking at you with half lidded eyes.

You didn't know what to say to the strange man, but he was clearly hurt, so you decided to help him and have him stay with you.

Who knows, he'll probably help find your family as a favor for your hospitality.
